This house has a style all of it’s own, our family home for 25 years, we hope you’ll love it. It’s grand, stylish, quirky and fun. The retro cinema with 85-inch TV, Sky and Sonos Arc will blow you away. 3 floors, 2 stairs cases, a priest hole for the best games of hide and seek. Relax and soothe your body and soul in our gazebo and waterfall hot tub. No ‘open house’ parties allowed but a perfect place for special occasions and gatherings for our house guests and mature hen parties are welcome.

Hi I’m Sherrill, my husband Martin, our 5 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats have loved living in The Old Rectory, it has been our family home for over 27 years. The children have flown the nest and we are planning our retirement, downsizing is a big part of the plan as we look forward to our own Gap Year. We have a narrowboat and enjoy life in the slow lane. For now I work in property and teach meditation. Martin runs a law firm and does legal stuff!

Our guest love The Old Rectory for is quirky style and spaciousness, the dining hall with galleried staircase has a pool / snooker table that converts to seats 14 comfortably for a grand dining experience and many guest book a private chef to celebrate their special occasions. The log burner and huge sofas in the lounge give a cosy feel and a games room with table football, shelves of books and board games and a cinema room with full Sky and Netflix ensure everyone is catered for. The Old Rectory is a an easy level 5 min walk to Hamworthy beach and park and a 15 min walk to The quay with its many lively bars and restaurants. We’ve a fantastic Fish & Chop, shop, 7-11 Coop and many food take aways within a 5 min walk. We are on the edge of The Jurassic Coast and a great location to visit the Brownsea Island and Bournemouth from the New Forset, Swanage, The Purbecks and Wareham are all within about a 30 min drive. The house itself is set in large private grounds and the rear terrace with a gazebo and 7 seat hot tub that is not overlooked at all, although we are located in a residential area and request you are considerate of our near neighbours and respectful of our quiet hours from 10pm to 10am.
