Warm and cosy retreat was just the ticket to raise our spirits after the bleakness of Trawsfynydd which has one (good) shop and a guest house with tables and chairs and a drinks licence. There is nothing else. The pub burned down in 2018 and was...

Set in the heart of Snowdonia, our stone cottage is filled with character. Penlan offers a peaceful retreat which is perfect for families, couples, and four-legged friends! With two bedrooms in the main house and an independent third bedroom, it caters for many different groups. Featuring with a wonderfully cosy living area, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and stunning through-the-window views of the Welsh countryside. An old welsh cottage with tiny imperfections exudes a charm that captivates every passerby. Its rough-hewn stone walls, covered in ivy and adorned with weathered wooden beams, stands as a testament to its rich history. The property also benefits from the third bedroom being separate to the main house and accessed via a private door. This has proven hugely popular with larger groups. This third room also doubles as a workspace away from the main house.
We love the Welsh countryside so set out to offer a great and affordable place for people to stay and create fantastic memories.
