Ty Carreg is situated four miles from Cardiff city centre with a commuter train one mile away, running 4 times an hour directly to the city centre. The Cardiff Millennium Stadium is easily reachable for sporting and music events.
To arrive at Ty Carreg Fach by car leave the M4 at J32 and just follow the brown signs for Castell Coch. www.cadw.gov.wales Castell Coch is at the end of our lane.
The local pub which serves food is a short walk and we are fortunate to have The Forest Tea Rooms at the end of our lane (voted one of Cardiff's top 10 best places for light meals).
We are moments from the Taff (cycling, walking, walking) Trail. Fforest Fawr and Forest Ganol are a short walk. Cardiff Bay is 6 miles away with a great selection of bars and restaurants as well as The Wales Millennium Centre (hosting cultural events, especially music). Fabulous beaches and coastline are within 15 miles.
