'The Annexe' forms part of the main residence built on the old parade ground of Steyne Wood Battery. The Battery was built on the eastern coastline of the Isle of Wight and became a scheduled monument in 2015, being one of the best surviving Victorian Batteries and, as such, all the bomb proof shelters, ammunition stores, gun positions and defensive structures in the surrounding grounds remain intact. The grounds around the property provide a peaceful escape in beautiful surrounds. The Annexe is a self contained two bedroom, two bathroom property all on one floor. There is a kitchen with dining table and a sitting room. The annexe was build in 1908 and retains it's quirky nature but has been recently redecorated. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other a double. One bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and the other bathroom has a shower unit. Bbq and fire pit. Linen and bath towels are provided. Patio with outside furniture and a patch of lawn exclusively for your use but you have access to the wider shared grounds. Parking available for two cars. None of the garden is fenced. We haven't listed a TV as an amenity as although there is a TV in the living room it functions as a smart screen. You can get all the streaming apps, netflix/bbc iplayer etc but there is no aerial for terrestrial channels.
There is a keysafe and access code will be given prior to check in. The owners are on site and can be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
