Bankside Cottage is a unique, quaint cottage set in the hamlet of Milldale, in the heart of Dovedale. This detached idyllic stone cottage provides accommodation for up to four adults and two children (six guests altogether) the cottage is tastefully decorated well equipped and very well looked after. * Bankside Cottage offers 2 comfortable double bedrooms and a Bunk Roo with 2 bunk beds. Bunk beds are Suitable foe children and small adults. * A large family bathroom with separate shower and bath. * A cosy beamed ceiling sitting room with a traditional open range fire. TV with DVD/ Bluray / iplayer. * The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and the separate dining/breakfast room seats 6. * A utilityroom with washing machine and dryer, Small Freezer and a small space for the well behaved family pet. (Please note there is a charge for pets). Pets must not be left at the property unattended. * Outside the cottage the property has private parking for one car (further parking is available very close by) * Sitting area for alfresco eating area for 6 guest with BBQ to enjoy the sunshine. * 3 adults bikes and 1 smaller bike (suitable for 8 yrs old up) available to use

My husband and I owned Bankside Cottage for a few years now. We love visiting the cottage and exploring the fabulous Peak District. We can walk and explore from our front door and not have to drive which is a great bonus. Sharing this cottage with guests/families who also love walking and exploring is a real pleasure.

There are also bustling, bright towns, cosy country pubs and great shopping all around. It is a trip that will be truly magical and compelling with so much to do in this glorious area of the English countryside. Milldale, is the first welcoming view and entrance to Dovedale looking down the wooded ravine, cross over Viators Bridge to walk down through Dovedale to the stepping stones or north along the quieter stretches of Dovedale. They have become one of the most iconic features of Dovedale in this area of outstanding natural beauty. Fun for adults and children alike, hop from one stone to the next to continue exploring the rest of Dovedale. Quality Walking, Cycling Fishing and Resturants all on the doorstep.
