The friendly Vikings Accommodation is victorian guest house less the 10 minutes' walk from historic York's city centre. It offers free Wi-Fi, and rooms with flat-screen TVs and Freeview channels. All of the refurbished, spacious ensuite rooms are homely and modern, with tea/Nespresso coffee machine facilities, and sweets and biscuits. On-street parking is available to guests, and the many shops and attractions of York are within walking distance. The impressive, 13th-centuary York Minster is just 10 minutes away on foot, York's Jorvik Centre is a 15 minutes walk away, and York Railway Station is a 20-minutes walk. York is a walled city in northeast England that was founded by the ancient Romans. Its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, York Minster, has medieval stained glass and 2 functioning bell towers. The City Walls form a walkway on both sides of the River Ouse. The Monk Bar gate houses an exhibition tracing the life of 15th-century Plantagenet King Richard III.
