Situated in the grounds of the owner's garden, this cottage is in an ideal location for a romantic hideaway or a solo retreat to explore the Yorkshire Dales and all it has to offer.

Residing just four miles from the bustling town of Leyburn is the village of Constable Burton, boasting a well known Hall and Gardens and home to the Wyvill Arms where you can relax in grandeur with some fine cuisine. Further afield are the historic castles of Middleham of Richard III fame or the magnificent Richmond Castle. There are some stunning waterfalls close by so make sure you visit the Aysgarth Falls or the highest unbroken waterfall at Hardraw, near the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. Hawes is of course home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery, where you can see the cheese being made and enjoy the finished product in the sample room. A treat for all ages is the Forbidden Corner in Middleham, a strange and wonderful place full of surprises. In the spring, Constable Burton Gardens are awash with tulips and daffodils, just a stroll away form White Rose Cottage. For steam train enthusiasts, ride the Heritage Wensleydale Railway stretching from Leeming Bar, near Bedale to Redmire, a day out full of nostalgia. Alternatively visit Ribblehead Viaduct, a historic part of the Settle to Carlisle line. There are galleries aplenty and the well known Yorkshire artist Lucy Pittaway has a gallery in Ripon, Richmond and Brompton on Swale, Lucy is the official artist for the Tour de Yorkshire and is an acclaimed local artist.
