Property information

Willow Cottage is a stone built cottage situated at the top of the delightful village of Youlgrave, with views across Bradford Dale. Centrally located in a beautiful part of the Peak District National Park, this is an ideal location for exploring on foot with lovely walks from the doorstep, or riding a bike through the many quiet lanes and footpaths of the area. This cottage is full of character and includes a log burning stove for those cosy nights in, and an enclosed garden (please note the garden is over the road)

Neighbourhood information

Surrounded by stunning countryside, the ancient village of Youlgrave winds its way along a narrow limestone shelf, situated between two of the area's loveliest valleys - Lathkill Dale to the north and Bradford Dale to the south. Once the centre of Derbyshire's lead-mining industry, this charming village now plays home to 3 pubs, all serving food, 3 shops, garage and a delightful medieval church. All Saints Parish Church with its 15th century square tower, reputedly the finest in Derbyshire, dominates the Main Street, which seems to shrink in awe of its mighty shadow. The attractive market town of Bakewell is nearby and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a frequent Monday street market, and monthly farmers market. With the whole of the Peak District National Park on the doorstep, many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall as well. For walkers and cyclists, their are numerous routes directly form the door and easy access to the trails.
