Withens Way Holiday Cottage is the only bungalow near the Main Street area of Haworth, a gem of a find for us when considering a new Holiday home investment for our young family in 2019. As soon as we saw the property and, knowing Haworth as we do, we had no option but to go all out and buy it. Fully renovated in 2020 with everything new, including the roof, the kitchen, the bathroom, windows, doors and all the flooring. All the furnishings had to be new too of course. Five really lovely features that make Withens Way Holiday Cottage stand out are 1. the boot room (as we've named it), a really handy utility space for muddy boots, muddy paws or tired tyres 2. the new log burner in our living room (which of course conforms with new environment standards) for those cosy winter nights 3. The Old Stone Wall, perhaps the only thing that isn't new inside the cottage, an old stone wall that we uncovered and restored in the living room, making a lovely feature 4. Your own private parking on a secure driveway (a real rarity in Haworth) 5. The Location, just where the cobbles start leading to Main Street and the Cafes, Craft Shops & Pubs that make Haworth so magical! Update: We also now have an Electric Vehicle charging point, this is chargeable but provides great guest convenience as electic vehicles become more popular, recharge yourselves as well as your car at Withens Way!
I was born in Burnley and raised in the Mill Towns of East Lancs, but my Yorkshire neighbours can't really hold that against me, because they'd be many a time as a young lad that I would stray over to Yorkshire by foot, bike or being transported in my Dad's Hillman Imp, without even realising we'd crossed the border. Haworth was a frequent trip and I'd marvel at the steep cobbled Main Street and it's timeless shops. Almost 20 years ago my life in Hotel Management moved me to the South of England where I met my wife Leanne. We now have 3 boys together, or more accurately young men, called Kian, Sam and Matt. I've worked in hospitality pretty much the whole of my working life and have always fancied the idea of our own Holiday Cottage business or a B&B, Withens Way Holiday Cottage is the start of that and we really hope you can enjoy the the wonders of Haworth as much as we do. We've poured a lot of effort into the Cottage, we hope it shows, and that it too can become your home from home for years to come. Thanks for considering Withens Way and if you choose us and Enjoy your stay then please tell your friends and leave a positive review online. Thank you, Richard & Leanne
For such a perfect location and, at first glance, a prominent spot, where the cobbles start for the Haworth Main Street and just a short stroll from the Bronte Parsonage Museum, Withens Way Holiday Cottage is actually a perfect little Haworth hideaway. Car Traffic for the Main Street is restricted to residents, therefore cars turn into the Car Park behind the Cottage before they reach your private driveway, and foot traffic, generally speaking, heads to the Main Street from an alleyway in the adjacent corner.
From the Main Street, to the Bronte Parsonage Museum, the Worth Valley Steam Railway Line or the Bronte Falls. Withens Top Barn, the inspiration for Wuthering Heights, or short journeys to Hebden Bridge, Skipton, Bolton Abbey, the Yorkshire Dales, Wycoller Hall, Pendle Witch Country. Whatever type of Short Break your looking for Walking, Hiking, Climbing, Caving, Cycling, sight-seeing or just strolling the local delights, relaxing on a Steam Train or enjoying a Pint of Ale in the many nearby Pubs. Stay here!
Timeless Haworth offers so much to see and do, but this unique spot brings some peace too. Enjoy the quiet moments too with a break at Withens Way Holiday Cottage.
