Lively Kos Town is a tourist destination. If you are looking to do the three Islands cruise in 1 day, do it, but book down at the harbour rather through an agent or your hotel. Rather than paying 38 Euros per person, we got it for 20 Euros.
We received some great restaurant recommendations from the wonderful staff at the Diamond Boutique Hotel. We found the best restaurants were a couple streets back from the harbour restaurants.

There are a lot of interesting ancient sites and monuments (greek, roman and medieval).
It was very pleasant cycling along the coast to Tigaki beach (with hire bikes) for sunbathing and a leisurely lunch and then around the salt lake, to see the small flock of flamingos in residence there.
The town itself is a very popular tourist spot for families with lots of facilities.

Kos town at night was lovely.
Kos town at night was lovely.
Lots of ancient sites to see. but quite a few recommendations in our guide book (2022) are closed
The Mosque in the main square is fenced off and looks as if it has been that way for quite some time. The area around Hippocrates Tree is also fenced off and almost derelict which was a shame.
Good restaurants away from harbour, especially Iannos, and Ali.

Kos town is busy and vibrant. Some historical sights to see.
Kos town is busy and vibrant. Some historical sights to see. Lots of bars/cafes and quaint shops. Love the tree lined streets. The harbour is lovely…. especially feeding the fish! Many boat trips available to other islands and ferries to Turkey. Long promenade ….. walked from Kos to Psalidi. Enjoyed the vibe as visited in October so probably not as busy as high season. Fairly flat so easy to access for anyone with mobility issues. Many and varied places to eat.

It is a very beautiful city where history, sun, sea and good food come together. It is very close to Turkey and can be easily visited. If planned well, you can easily go anywhere on the island by public buses. Especially Zia and Asklepion should be seen.

Kos felt hectic after being on Tilos for two weeks.
Kos felt hectic after being on Tilos for two weeks. However once you’re away from the front and the bars/restaurants it’s fine. Port easy to negotiate, both to other islands and to Turkey. Ruins are dotted around the town which is great. Old town shopping easy.
Excellent location at walking distance of old-town and the harbor. The beds and mattress were decent and cleaning was done daily. The roof-top swimming pool is very nice and they offer free towels! The general staff and cleaning staff are friendly and do their best. The air-conditioning in the room was working perfectly. Breakfast was okay for Greece and had good choices. Despite the outdated hotel, we had a great holiday in Kos. Looking at the price-quality of this accomodation it is still a good deal...in Kos.
It was close to all that Kos Town has to offer. For us it was an excellent location as we were only staying for one night while island hopping, and it’s an easy twenty minute walk to the port. If you wanted to visit Bodrum you couldn’t get any nearer to the departure point.
The room was spacious, very well equipped and spotless, with an excellent shower.
Paris, the owner, is such a likeable person with excellent communication skills.
It was a wonderful experience, the location is great, right in the old town, near Diagoras square, but quiet so you can rest. Pauline and her family are so welcoming and helpful, we felt like visiting close relatives. The breakfast is good and it was good to begin exploring the town with a full stomach. If we’d return to Kos town, we would surely choose Pauline’s place for Pauline, cleanliness, location!
Lovely family-run hotel, very clean and quiet. Beautiful swimming pool and play area for kids. Simple rooms with comfortable beds. The air con was very helpful as the weather was very hot! Walking distance of a range of restaurants on the beach. Easy bus, bike ride or drive into Kos town. Great homemade jam with breakfast! Lots to do on Kos, all easy drive or bus trip. Scuba diving centre nearby.
Fantastic brand new facilities.
Bottle of wine and fruit plate on arrival
The staff were polite, helpful and pleasant.
The breakfast options, quality and taste were brilliant! 12 out of 10 :)
I loved the location- close to the beach and close to Kos town but still quiet and felt private
The rooms have speakers you can connect your phone to which is fantastic
It was in an exceptional position in the city centre. The pool was great. The design was strange but very modern and nice.
Above all, l really liked the staff. Everyone was very helpful. Rena at the pool was a lovely lady. Vasilia was also very nice. And Katerina!!!!! The gem of the hotel. Her smile and genuine concern to make your stay a great experience.
Our friends, the owners of a wonderful restaurant called Degli Amici, located in the first floor of the hotel recommended us to this beautiful place . Beautiful sea view. Wonderful location, owners very friendly, great service, everything very convenient, clean rooms. The best place for a wonderful family vacation. It’s all you need. highly recommend it.
Very comfortable and nice looking place, with a great shower (compared to my other stays in Greece).
The location was very convenient, the place was clean, and there are some small amenities that are very practical (a scale to check your luggage weight, free perfumes to use - which I didn't care for, but it was a nice touch :))
If you're in doubt about where to stay in Kos Town, then pick Diamond Boutique Hotel. Stayed here for a week and it was fantastic. Hotel was great, comfy sunbeds, wonderful staff, fantastic rooms, great breakfast, close to the beach and the town - and amazing value.
Highly recommend to anyone
The place is in a great location, close to the beach and a walking distance to a Kos town center. The rooms are cleaned every day and the cleaners are doing a great job. There is aircondition in the rooms. Also, there are pots and an electric kattle so you can make a coffee or food.
The hotel is located in close proximity to the harbour & the centre of Kos town, our room was basic but suited our needs for the one night. The hotel staff were very helpful with all our queries, we didn't have the breakfast so can't comment.
I've been there just for a few days at the end of the summer season. I was quite satisfied with the hotel room. It was clean, cozy, enough space for baggage. Good location near the city centre. Employees were great and helpful!
Friendly and welcoming staff, nice gesture with complimentary welcome coffee and drinks.
We stayed as a family of 3 and it is highly recommended due to proximity to Kos town centre and welcoming staff members.
Location and the hotel room. Spacious and clean. Good breakfast. Strong Internet. Plenty of orange trees but sour. It's for road decorations. But one gentle lady plucked for us - just for fun.
A charming and well-run hotel just outside the centre of Kos Town, with a lovely swimming pool, and close to a lovely beach. Short walk into town for bars and restuarants.
We enjoyed everything as usual in this hotel we gave stayed multiple times over the years all staff wer brilliant cleaning lady and reception staff all great
The beds were very comfortable & it was nice to use the gym. Separate shower and rain shower was nice. Also easy to park and easy access to Kos town by walking.
