Anestorema, in the local dialect of Astypalaia, means: memory, narration or painting. During the reconstruction of this building, we put all our effort and care into respecting its history and making it a place that carries memories from its past, narrates its story and is a unique “nestoria” (painting).
It was built in 1932 and it was the shoemaker’s shop for more than 50 years. Today we have transformed it into an elegant, exquisite house for people who would like to spend enjoyable and unforgettable holidays in Astypalaia.
It is situated in the picturesque Chora of Astypalaia, just a few metres below the central square with the 8 traditional windmills. Within a walking distance of a couple of minutes you will find any kind of shop, which can serve your needs during your holidays (restaurants, cafes, bakery, supermarket).
