Attik residencies, The old country road in Livadi village, which leads to the unique Konteletou church (1551), was named after the world-renowned Belle epoque musician, Attik. Being the grand-son of Demitris Raptakis (from his mother’s side), a doctor and MP in the Ionian Parliament, young Attik would spend his summer vacations, in this wonderful area, where he would be carried away by the beauty of the landscape and the surrounding nature. His vivid imagination was well known for the people of Livadi, where he would often become the centre of attention, due to his unique ability of mimicking bird voices! The complex of three newly-renovated, independent condos lies at the beginning of the country road. Built in the 1920s and renovated recently, their distinctive architecture and style reveal a glimpse to the cultural past of the island. Indulge to the beauty and serenity of Kythera…
Livadi is one of the biggest villages in Kythira. In a very strategic position to many beaches and sightseeings, you will be also staying close to the capital of the island Chora with the Venetian castle while you get a relaxing walk between little touristic shops. Enjoy traditional Greek food and coffee in restaurants and cafes only in a 5min walk.
