In one direction you can walk into the hills and nature reserve areas of Northern Syros with more spectacular and semi isolated beaches, and in the other direction through the valley (or along the cliffs) to the buzzing village of Kini around 1km away with its rich choice of restaurants along the sea front and its charming side streets with a mini-market and bakery.
