Heliades was built in 2013-14 by the side of the original Krallis family home, which dates back to 1926. Molyvos’ traditional locally–sourced grey stone was employed throughout, harmoniously melding the new structure with the accents and hues of the village’s architecture. Under the beautiful grey stone, the highest standards of energy efficient building materials shield the five modern units from summer heat and winter cold, providing ideal conditions for recreation, rest, and reflection. Heliades have a simple, functional design, fully in tune with the village’s traditional architecture, respects history and Molyvos’ age–old forms, while offering all the amenities of a modern home. I was born in Athens, Greece and have lived all my life in that city. For a short stint I spent a year in London for my graduate studies and after that submitted to fate and served my military service. Since then, it feels so long ago, I have been working in a number of software development companies, starting and as a programer and currently acting as a Project Manager at a medium sized outfit. Work with computers is but part of a life I share with my wife and two young boys. All four of us are huge fans of Molyvos, where we invite you to spend a wonderful vacation.

Molyvos is an old village with characteristic, well-maintained cobble-stone streets. One can drive a car to Heliades and find easy free parking but a few meters off it at a municipal lot. The village is, however, best seen on foot and offers endless possibilities of comfortable strolls through its windy streets. Molyvos is accessible by car, bus, and taxi from the capital city of Lesvos, Mytilene, which is where guests usually arrive on either ship or plane. Mytilene is 64km and an hour drive away from Molyvos.
