Born and raised here in Kampos, living and working along with my parents to build this business we have today, I am a lively person, always here to offer you a place like home, take care of your requirements, help you discover the Cretan culture while having something to drink on the house. Crete has many things to offer and so does my family, from traditional dishes cooked with local ingredients, homemade spirits and wine and olive oil from our trees, all wrapped in the hospitality of the place. Besides running this business, I enjoy taking care of our animals, we have some goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and during winter we are harvesting the olive trees so that we can keep our Mediterranean diet and have enough olive oil and olives to offer to our guests too.

The story of Lefteris Rooms goes back more than 30 years ago. It started from my father's wish to build a tavern out of a rock and it was his hands which made the place you see today. After welcoming lots of tourists in our newly built restaurant, we found ourselves in the impossibility to host them overnight, so my father began to build the rooms up the tavern, the first places to accommodate tourists from all over the world in Kampos. Keeping them traditional, with the utilities you need while on holiday, air conditioning, refrigerator, electric kettle, towels, hair dryer, some tea and coffee to sip while enjoying the starry nights on the balcony, Lefteris Rooms offer you picturesque scenery over the mountains and the wild beauty of the area. Built in 1985, it is a place where many of our tourist friends return to spend their time in serenity, where travelers discovering Crete stop by for a Greek coffee, traditional meals and an authentic Cretan experience, the last one being offered by both accommodation and tavern. You can always sit in the tavern or on the terrace enjoying the breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh products and local drinks.

The property is located on the main road from Platanos to Elafonisi, offering you a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. There is a small market 50 meters away and an Orthodox church 50 m further. The elevation of the place is 175 m from the sea level; close to the rooms there is a pathway to Kampos Gorge, the sea is 3km away (Kampos Beach), you can choose to take the footpath which is 500 m far from our property or the asphalt road, 1 km away. If you want longer hikes, in the tavern you can check the routes created by our Dutch friend. Our place is a good stay if you want to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Elafonisi (23 km), Falasarna (22 km), Balos (32 km) and Sfinari (9 km).
