A breathtaking place just 25 km east of Athens city center with a great historical background that perfectly combines antiquity with modern-day life. The city was named after the ancient goddess Artemis. The Temple of Artemis Brauron was among the most important sacred sites in the ancient times while nowadays the site is included in the Natura 2000 European network of protected areas.
