In the village you can find 3 traditional taverns and a mini market less than 8 minute walk away. Nearest Sandy beach is 10 minute Drive away (Kiani Akti) A nearby village which is located next to the sea is Kalyves which is 13 minute drive away with supermarket, bank (ATMs), Post Service, Fish Taverns, Cafeterias and more. 7km from Souda port while the Old Town of Chania, The Old Harbor, Central Bus station and the City Center are 16km from the property. Aside from the friendly locals and the traditional taverns, i would suggest going for a hike, while taking a deep breaths of fresh air while enjoying the beautiful picturesque scenery while letting your mind and imagination wander freely about the rich history of ancient grounds you are walking on. After all it's the land of the Minoans, where they once thrived and believed to be the first civilization in Western Europe before Santorini volcano erupted in 1450BC and wiped out most of their might in a matter of hours.
