Villa Mariel is a newly build private villa of 80 sq.m, located on the hillside above Skopelos Chora. Its design was inspired by the Greek island architecture, including white-washed interiors and minimal interior decoration. ♥ Breathtaking view ♥ Total privacy ♥ Just 2km from Skopelos port ♥ Luxurious facilities (SONOS speaker, Netflix, SMEG Espresso maker) ♥ Private pool + outdoor lounge area IMPORTANT DETAILS TO NOTE: In order to reach our villa, our guests will have to cross 900 of dirt road. A car is strongly advised, since the villa is located 2km away from Skopelos port on a steep hillside. Furthermore, all taxi companies will drive as far as the beginning of the dirt road.
Hello! My name is Manolis Sofikitis. I come from Skopelos, where I grew up, and yes(!) I had a pretty amazing childhood growing up here! My family, my parents and siblings, are involved with tourism since I can remember! So even though, I got my degree as an Electrical Engineer from Chania, Crete, I decided to return to Skopelos and do what I always loved to, hosting people from all over the world and helping them get the best out of their vacations. I try to spend as much time as possible in Skopelos countryside, mountains and beaches and to explore the abundant hidden surprises of nature. Either by bicycle, by foot, by boat or even by car there are so many amazing places to discover around the island. I like listening and playing music. I am experimenting with piano, trumpet and mpouzouki (the most popular traditional Greek music instrument), and lucky me (and you!) we have a long tradition of Rembetiko (folklore Greek) music in Skopelos, which you can enjoy in many taverns and in lots of genres. I will meet you during your check-in and I will provide you lots of local advice and try to answer any questions you might have about Skopelos. I am available 24/7 during your stay!!!
