Tuqtuquilal
Tuqtuquilal is a regenerative center, cacao production facility and community-development project working with a farmers cooperative of 65 local families. We welcome guests to immerse in the rich lands and culture of the Q'eqchi territory, to learn about cacao, regenerative practices, and deepen their connection to nature.
We are a team of international people coming together over a love of Earth, a desire to build intercultural relationships, and a shared mission to work towards the well-being of people and planet. We love living simply, eating healthy, working with our hands, and collaborating to make the world a better place.
We are located on a beautiful mountainside thats bursting with life. Listen to the birds in the morning and the insects and frogs at night. We are right next to a clean, rushing river that guests love to use to relax and cool off in the afternoons. There are many hiking trails around us with lots to explore! Lanquin town center is walkable or 5-mins by tuk tuk and Semuc Champey is only 20 mins by tuk-tuk.
