We spend most of our free time in Viganj throughout the year, painting, fishing, working on our orange and olive gardens. In the Summer we move to our Surf-hut by the sea, and enjoy the unique wind conditions of Viganj--the daily Maestral, which brings thousands of kiters, windsurfers, foilers to this small Village each year. This is the time when we leave our hillside house to friends and family, and also for a couple of weeks we rent it out to a select few. We also like to explore to nearby uninhabited small islands with our fishing boat, collecting driftwood and looking for treasure. Peljesac casts a magic spell on many visitors. Long fascinated by the paintings of Ljubo Babic, depicting the old Dalmatian countryside, I accidentally found myself on he 'Path', depicted on one of his most famous paintings. The path led , to an abandoned stone cottage, with the most beautiful view of the Sea and Korcula. Love at first sight- I had to have it.
