One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Gorgeous exterior and interior, worthy of being the inspiration for the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel.
The location is perfection. Right in the centre of the city, walking distance to all the major sights/food/nightlife/metro/train stations.
Our standard room was more akin to a junior suite, with ample extra space, king bed, sofa, desk and his/hers closets. The bathroom even had a soaker tub, which was great after a long day on castle hill.
There's a spa onsite, and if you can't make it to the baths, I would recommend their spa packages as the convenience and price is spot on. The onsite bar had live Hungarian music in the evenings which was also a pleasure to enjoy.
Top notch across the board. Stay here; you won't be disappointed.
Located in a pedestrian street with cafés and bars, Hotel Erzsebet City Center is only a few steps from the Vaci utca shopping street and the Great Market Hall.
The outstanding Aquincum Hotel Budapest - where inspiration meets tradition - is located in a prime area alongside the Danube on the Buda side of the city, facing Margaret Island.

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.
So many nice architecture!!
Everywhere you look, it is beautiful.
Shopping: mainly the big familiar stores are there.
Prices: not cheap, regular European prices.
Watch out: when you pay by card: choose HUF, not Euro or other valuta.
When you are at a restaurant they already charge service costs, no big tip needed.

Budapest is another one of the charming, old time cities that we have visited in Europe that just makes us so glad that we have traveled and explored there. Like Prague, another favorite of ours, Seniors are allowed to utilize the wonderful transportation system (trains, trams and buses) to get around to see the entire city. We took advantage of this and as of this writing are planning on returning to Budapest for a much longer experience.
The location is perfect- walking distance to the city centre, near to 2 metro stations & a tram station (from different directions), it’s a peaceful area even though it’s located somewhere around the heart of pest, Budapest.
The room is comfortable & spacious for a family of three. Everything is clean including the bathroom.
The service is really good & helpful. There are no convenient supermarkets nearby to go to at night (to buy water) but the restaurant next to the hotel lets us buy bottle of water from them.
The hotel looks a little bit shabby on the outside, but inside it’s completely renovated and looks beautiful and modern.
The breakfast was fine, simple, and provided something for everyone.
The staff was always incredibly helpful and kind!
It’s a little further away from the city centre but super close to a metro and busstation which will get you into the city with no time.
I would 100% recommend if you’re travelling to Budapest by car because of the free parking that comes with your stay!!
This hotel is perfect!
It is located right on the river side of the Danubio, close to bus stops that will take you to the city centre in 20 mins.
The continental breakfast offers plenty of choices and the food is really fresh.
The staff is always kind and ready to help.
The spa is included in the room price, there are 3 pools and a sauna. The thermal pool at 38° is the best place to relax after a long day in the city.
We will come back for sure!
This small apartment has everything you need for your stay in Budapest. The location is great with busses conneiing to the city centre just a short walk away. One of the best public baths with thermal springs is also really close. The apartment itself is super clean and the bed is very comfy. Check-in and out is super easy. The host is super nice, arranged for an early check-in and was overall super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Most amazing location, super clean, wonderful staff and great breakfast so stylish. I stayed in Budapest couple of times but this was definitely the best hotel and best experience ever. My friend had a birthday and they were kind enough to bring a champagne to our room she was beyond happy made her whole day awesome. Thank you for being accommodating and super helpful. We are coming back again!
We had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel Moments. The staff and cleaning service go above and beyond to make sure your stay is what you need. We took advantage of the breakfast as well and there were so many options for food that made it very easy to enjoy breakfast and coffee before starting adventures. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest!
best option to go to Budapest, value for money and in the middle of the city centre of Budapest, very convenient if you are coming from the airport, the apartment was big, very clean and modern.
the reception stuff were very nice and very polite with languages knowledge, definitely the best option for staying in the centre.
I would totally recommend to everyone (:
We really enjoyed our stay at Roombach hotel and we will definitely choose it again when we come back to Budapest. Good variety of food at breakfast, everything was fresh and tasty, very friendly staff, they even help us with the parking, great location, right in the city centre. Room was not very big but enough for our stay and we appreciated the cleanliness!
Everything! The Mystery Hotel was a joy to stay in from start to finish. The staff were brilliant and took very good care of us, nothing was too much hassle for them. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the local sparkling wine! The room itself was pretty much perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Great location for all of Budapest city centre too.
A true hotel for music lovers! I decided to bring my mom to Budapest for her birthday, she has traveled the world and played in the best concert halls from Liceu to Carnegie Hall... and so far this was her favourite stay. The manager even allowed her to play the piano for a few minutes, it was lovely.
The location is the only good thing about this hotel. It's located close to Andrashi avenue which is one of the main arteries of Budapest and leads right to the center of the city. The metro station is also right around the corner which is convenient. It takes 5 minutes to get to the center by metro.
We made late plans for Budapest for New Year's eve and this property was relatively affordable, the staff were efficient at arranging arrival times and check-in. The hotel is in a great location as you can catch the bus just around the corner to the city centre and the entrance is accessible 24/7.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Close to the airport, the city centre and to most of the sights.
We would definitely choose it again for our next visit to Budapest. Already recommended it to some friends, going to Budapest in the middle of August.
Perfect location in the city centre, you can walk everywhere. When you don't like to walk, you can use metro(3min walk from the hotel),bus stops(next street),rental bikes nearby (mol bubi). If we return to Budapest,we will definitely come back to this hotel!
Very simple hotel in the perfect location, the center of the City.
Totally recommend if you just need a place to sleep while discovering Budapest.
