I am a born and bred Ubudian, so have lots of local knowledge to share with you if you require it. My staff and I strive hard to offer our guests a unique and personalised level of service with true Balinese charm and warm hospitality. I have spent many years in the hotel industry and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Sama's Cottages and Villas is a peaceful, relaxing retreat located only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ubud. Our property has a variety of different accommodation types to suit every budget and taste. At our main property, where we have a lovely main pool that guests can share, you can choose from either a fan cooled or air-con cottage, or our 1 bedroom villa (Ayu Executive). We have 5 different cottage types, of varying sizes so as to suit singles, couples and families, or even small groups. If you prefer to have more privacy, then you may like to choose to stay in one of our 2 beautiful stand alone private pool villas. There is our gorgeous 1 bedroom villa (Villa on Bisma), or for up to 6 guests there is our magnificent 3 bedroom villa (Villa Arindah), which can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests (extra charges apply). Each of these villas have their own private space and private pool. Whatever accommodation type you choose, we will ensure you have a wonderful and relaxing stay in Ubud, the cultural and artistic heart of Bali.

Ubud is the cultural and artistic heart of Bali, without a doubt. Ubud has a fantastic range of beautiful restaurants, boutiques, spas, museums and art galleries, all of which are within easy reach. Ubud is indeed the best town in Bali to watch a traditional Balinese dance, or to witness an important Hindu ceremony. In recent times Ubud has also become famous as a wholistic and healing centre, and as a result there are now some fantastic places to enjoy yoga, meditation, dance, healing, etc. The climate in Ubud is also a little cooler compared with the southern beach areas, and even though Ubud is now a bustling town, not a small village anymore, you still do not have to go too far to find magic views, lush forests and beautiful ricefields.
