Managed By Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg Situated 8 km from Madikeri, Rare Earth Estate is aesthetically built, with traditional influences of Kodagu styles & the essence of Chola architecture from the regions of Chettinad and Pudukottai, immersing you in the classical feel of Southern India. Each room comes with a private sit out and an exclusive garden.The home has carefully handpicked wooden antique doors, windows and pillars. These decorative pieces were procured from old broken-down homes, restored & reused to help conserve the historical & cultural soul of the region. The floor tiles are handmade with elaborately designed traditional motifs and are sourced from the Athangudi village in Tamil Nadu, an endeavour to conserve the dying art forms of India. The collection of brass souvenirs displayed around the home, are a part of their ancestral heirlooms and have been collected over the years. The Belgian glass roof tiles cleverly juxtaposed with the traditional roof tiles, capture and diffuse, in an array of colours, the sunlight, thereby illuminating the interiors during the day and conserving energy in the process.
