Résidence de l’Evêché is a historic landmark in the heart of Pondicherry. This Single key villa is situated in the French Quarter, it takes you back in time to the colonial era when the Archbishop’s house was located on the street, earning the name, Rue de l’Evêché. The villa has existed since the 1790s and has been home to several owners, one of them being the prominent Goubert family, after whom the popular Goubert Market is named. Guest access. Guests can have access to all areas of the property, and you will be the only guest we are hosting there. The property does not have a swimming pool. However, based on availability, guests can use the swimming pool and Ayurveda facilities at Palais de Mahe (our sister property in the French town, which is a short stroll away). Please contact the caretaker to check the availability of these amenities.
