Vayal is set in a 3.5 acre farm, part paddy field and part mango orchard. The house is located within a mango orchard and no trees were removed during construction. Spaces have been designed around the trees and enveloping them. At the main entrance to the farm, you will find the farm supervisors cottage, covered parking, and back of house services such as the utilities, staff accommodation, and the non-vegetarian kitchen.​
