We bought our cozy summer house at the beginning of 2025 and have put a lot of love into it since like including installing a hot tub and doing some light renovations. Surrounded by beautiful woods and a peaceful lake, it’s the perfect place to relax, hike, and enjoy the mild and refreshing Icelandic nature. We love this place deeply and hope you will too.

Hi! We’re Einar and Justyna, proud parents of three energetic boys. We love spending time outdoors and especially hiking, traveling, and discovering new places together. We enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and sharing a bit of Icelandic nature and calm with them.

The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. As you drive into the valley toward the cabin, you’ll pass through several lovely forests with fun trails and little streams running through them. It’s an adventurous environment perfect for both children and adults. If you continue further into the valley past the cabin, you’ll find a playground for kids, a soccer field, and a frisbee golf course. About 20 minutes away is the Hreppslaug outdoor swimming pool, open in the summer. Definitely worth a visit! There’s a pool for playing, hot tubs, a cold tub, and a sauna. In the summer, you can drive further into the valley and up the mountain road, which leads to waterfalls that are incredibly fun to jump into... just be careful! The road is mostly open in summer and meant for 4x4s, but most cars can reach the waterfall, which isn’t far from the main road.
