The city is rich in art and history: it is a medieval village that has its roots in a Roman substratum of which some visible finds are harmoniously integrated into the city context. Spello also enjoys a privileged geographical location, being just a few kilometers away from other interesting Umbrian villages: Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Bevagna etc ... The city is full of events throughout the year (Infiorate, flowered alleys, oil festival, nativity scenes, meetings in the streets - review of cultural events during the summer - For about a decade the Terme di San Francesco (2 km from Spello) have been operating, which exploit the thermal properties of the sulphurous waters that the area is rich in, and the Perugia airport.
