Pescara is the city that gave birth to the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. The center of Pescara, the very long promenade, and the historic old Pescara (where you will find museums, restaurants, pubs, the Cathedral and the birthplace of Gabriele D'annunzio) are worth visiting. At night you can go to the seafront full of fish restaurants and places to drink and listen to music. In the center you will find Piazza Muzii (with many pubs and breweries), and all the streets full of shops and bars. Near the house you will find the stadium, the university, the court, pharmacy, bars, restaurants, banks, the Pineta Dannunziana, beach, market, and more. The surroundings of Pescara are also beautiful, such as the historic cities of Chieti, Ortona, Lanciano (important for religious tourism), the Holy Face of Manoppello and more (all reachable by bus). At 50 km is the Majella National Park (2500 meters high), while with an hour by bus you can easily reach the city of L'Aquila and with 2 hours in Rome.
