Company information

This is a family-owned estate. It was the family holiday place, and around 10 years ago we decided to transform part of it into an "agriturismo" (tourism in the countryside). The farmhouses are managed by my sister Monica and her companion Ernesto, who live on the estate and will be around for any query and assistance you may need, and I deal with the marketing and bookings. Our estate is organic and we mainly produce organic and extra virgin olive oil. We are a bilingua and Italian and English-speaking family, so don't hesitate to write to us in English. We have prepared a booklet with a lot of information on what to do in the area (activities, places to visit and our favourite restaurants), and will be happy to help you book museums or restaurants during your stay.

Property information

A secluded agricultural estate on the rolling hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno, in the Umbrian countryside. It is composed of 60 hectares of oak woods, 1.300 old olive trees (organic olive oil production). We have recently restored 3 very panoramic 17th-century farmhouses, creating 7 comfortable, spacious holiday apartments, 2 cottages with private garden or terrace and a villa with private terrace. The farmhouses are isolated, and totally immersed in nature and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, the green hills, old olive trees and oak woods. All three farmhouses can host about 55 guests, and the whole estate can be rented out for a small country wedding, or for a family reunion or meeting, etc. In the Farmhouse Fontanelle there is a spacious and elegant common room, fireplace, kitchen, living/dining area, that is perfect for spending the evening together. We live on the property and will be pleased to assist you during your stay + give you all info for touring this beautiful, interesting area. We will be available to show you the trails for MTB, jogging, walking within our property and in the area. Closest town with supermarkets: 10 minutes away by car

Neighbourhood information

We are in central Italy, in the region of Umbria, bordering Tuscany. Therefore, there are many beautiful old hamlets, mediaeval castles, important historical art cities and cultural sites to visit in the area: the towns of Perugia and Assisi, Etruscan museums and sites, the characteristic hamlets of Città della Pieve, Panicale and Castiglione del Lago in Umbria, and Pienza and Montepulciano in Tuscany. We are also close to Lake Trasimeno (25 minutes away), with its two islands that you can visit by ferry boat, and pretty beaches. There are many activities, also for families w/children, in the area: truffle hunting with our neighbour, visiting the chocolate Perugina factory, a cooking lesson on our estate, a water park in the nearby town, etc. We are immersed in the countryside, the farmhouses are surrounded by old oak and olive trees, and there is no other construction to be seen. The location is secluded and quiet, but we are only 10 minutes by car to the closest supermarket and to the town of Tavernelle di Panicale, where you will find several shops, supermarkets, a weekly market, a few good restaurants and pizzerie, banks, pharmacy, medical centre, bakeries, coffee bars, etc.
