👋 A Warm Welcome and Our Interests
Welcome to Il Cagliarese! It is a huge pleasure to host you in our corner of Cagliari. We hope you feel completely at home here, enjoying the tranquility of our rooms and the vibrancy of the Marina District.
✨ Our Work: A Passion for Hospitality
What do we love most about our job? Without a doubt, it is the human connection.
For us Mauro & Lorenzo: The greatest joy is seeing the satisfied faces of guests upon their return and knowing that we have contributed to making their day in Cagliari a success. We love sharing authentic advice on "hidden" restaurants and the city’s lesser-known spots.
For our Staff: The team enjoys the variety and the challenge of welcoming travelers from all over the world. We like solving small issues and making every guest feel looked after, always ensuring impeccable service and a genuine smile.
🏃 Our Life Beyond the B&B: Hobbies and Interests
When we are not busy taking care of our guests, we love to recharge by dedicating ourselves to our passions.
Our big passion is Running. For us, running in Cagliari is not just fitness, but a way to connect with the city.
We love going out early in the morning and running for miles on the Poetto Beach promenade or among the palm trees of Monte Urpinu Park. It is our moment of meditation and it gives us the right energy to face the day with enthusiasm.
If you are a running enthusiast or just want a refreshing jog, don't hesitate to ask! We will be happy to show you my favorite routes that start right from the center, perfect for a bit of sports tourism.
In addition to running, our staff also has other interests: some are passionate about hiking in the Sulcis mountains and others love cooking and discovering ancient Sardinian recipes.
We hope these little insights make you feel even more comfortable. We are here for you!
Explore La Marina: The Historic and Gastronomic Heart of Cagliari Centre
The Marina District (or Rione Marina) is one of the four historic neighborhoods of Cagliari and represents the vibrant core of the Cagliari Old Town.
Staying in this district means being immersed in local history and culture, placing you in the best Cagliari accommodation spot for nightlife, sightseeing, and dining.
📍 Key Location and Landmarks for Your Stay
The boundaries of the Marina are strategically defined: to the north by the ancient walls leading up to the Castello District, to the south by the main thoroughfare Via Roma (which borders the Port of Cagliari), to the east by Viale Regina Margherita, and to the west by Largo Carlo Felice. This central location makes Il Cagliarese B&B the ideal starting point for exploring.
🍝 Food, History, and Tradition in the Marina District
The Marina has always been famous for its culinary offerings, making it the most sought-after district for eating out in Cagliari.
Via Sardegna: Formerly known as Carrer dels Sicilians, this street is beloved by locals. Here, you will find countless typical trattorias and restaurants, filling the air with the unmistakable aroma of traditional Sardinian seafood dishes.
Historic Alleys: Narrow, history-laden streets climb up from Via Roma, including Via Barcellona (the ancient Carrer de Barcelona) and Via Baylle (Carrer de Sanct Leonard), where you can still feel the district's past as a melting pot of cultures.
Via Cavour: Once known as S'arrug'e Gésus, this street is a testament to centuries of city life.
The Marina District is not just a place to find a comfortable Cagliari city centre stay; it is a sensory experience that combines the convenience of a strategic position with the charm of its ancient port-side streets.
