Our residence is located in the area called Oltrarno on the south bank of the Arno river. The Oltrarno is the Florence of the old trades and traditions with lots ofcraftman workshops street markets and typical trattorias but also churches, squares, monuments and museums. You may want to walk till Piazzale Michelangelo and you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the city at sunset. If you are on holiday in Florence a coffee or a drink in one of the open air bars of Santo Spirito square are the ideal. The Oltrarno offers museums for all tastes. Pitti Palace hosts some outstanding ones. Would you like to satisfy your curiosity? Why don’t you follow the tracks of the many Sunday markets that animate the Oltrarno squares?
