Porcaticcio is a unique combination of modern taste and old architecture. The contemporary abstract sculptures and paintings of Cornelis are placed in each room and in the garden and make Porcaticcio a real art gallery. The house itself has been totally renovated and decorated by the owners.
We are a Dutch-Italian couple. Cornelis is a professional sculptor and painter and Gabriela is a communication consultant and a yoga teacher. Our story started in India in 2006 where we met. Our passion for nature and old stone houses took us to Porcaticcio, a big mansion abandoned for many years. We fell in love with the place right away and we decided to start our project of restoration.
Porcaticcio is a strategic location on the Apennines, situated on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. You can easily reach main cultural towns, such as Bologna, Ravenna, Ferrara and Florence, and cozy villages like Brisighella, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Castel del Rio.
