I'm David, from Montecatini, in Tuscany; always determined and continually looking for challenges to face; after a degree in Computer Science obtained in Pisa and a MBA with honors at Politecnico di Milano, I was luky to gain significant managerial experience at director level in various multinational companies operating in different sectors, with roles of international responsibility. The love for the olive tree has pushed me first to become a certified national level taster of EVO oil allowing me to acquire the skills necessary to produce and be able to recognize a high quality oil. Later I could not resist the temptation to make known this product so noble, but in my opinion not fully respected to the whole world, and since I believe that every taste and knowledge is inextricably linked to its land of origin, I decided to create an agriturismo to give everyone the opportunity to try it directly in the Tananei world. Share with my clients the emotions and experiences related to the most authentic rural world and allow them, as happened to me, to re-establish their personal relationship with nature, the ideal place to try these products, it's my new way of life today.

Tananei is the name of our land and our 1860 agriturismo in Tuscany: it is our world, a world of unique emotions related to the nature of our Tuscan Region and to its most typical products. A world that we have the pleasure of sharing with those who love the most genuine authenticity; genuineness of landscapes, of products of the earth, of food and wine specialties, of ways of living linked to the rhythms of nature. We get excited every day to eat the sweetest and untreated fruit directly from our plants, to have close encounters with roe deer, foxes, squirrels and other animals that live free in the farm, to let us light up our summer dinners in the to let us light up our summer dinners in the open air with the thousand fireflies living among the olive trees, to wake up with the song of a multitude of birds, to eat the uncontaminated vegetables of our garden, to relax among the olive trees accompanied by the song of cicadas by day and crickets in the evening. We're in Marliana in an area named "Valdinievole" in the Pistoia district, in the north of Tuscany, between Lucca / Pisa and Florence, close to the most touristic cities and between small medieval villages, castels and olive groves, in an authentic rural context between landscape and food and wine wonders. You will live an authentic Tuscan experience in a small farmhouse surrounded by olive trees and family-run, in an unspoiled nature with its natural sounds. Ideal choice for those who want to visit the classic destinations of northern Tuscany or our villages and castles of Valdinievole, and return to relax in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside and enjoy their products. On some days of the week there will be the opportunity to join particular events like e.g. our - Farm to Table Experience:from the Scents of the countryside you can switch to the scents and flavors of the food whose main ingredients come from our garden and our trees or from farms in the district that we have carefully selected - Extra Virgin Olive Oil Experience: we will share the production process of EVO Oil, then we'll have a walk in our olive grove, then we'll have a tasting session like sommelier are doing and finally there will be a special dinner If interested we’ll let you know as soon as possible the scheduling of these events.
