One of the most beautiful areas of Rome is undoubtedly the one around Ponte Sisto, in the historic center of the city. In the direction leading to Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona, history takes center stage, and one of the most famous streets is Via delle Zoccolette. A curious name that brings a smile in modern times, as it refers to the Conservatory of Saints Clement and Crescentino. Here, orphaned girls likely wore shoes similar to clogs, called zoccoli in Italian. The Rubens Collection awaits you just a 10-minute walk from Pantheon and Piazza Navona and 1 km from the Roman Forum and Piazza Venezia.
