Intimate and well-cared-for apt. of 50 m2, on the 2nd floor of an elegant palazzo (with elevator; some steps to reach it) and concierge. The property is very close to Via Indipendenza and to Piazza Maggiore. The heating is centralized and can be adjusted by thermo valves, while both, the living and sleeping area, are equipped with air conditioning units. The entrance leads into a small hallway giving access to the kitchen and living room. In the living room, a magnificent Murano glass chandelier captures the attention of guests, who have at their disposal a sofa bed (140 x 200 cm), located right in front of a 49” flat-screen TV (cable TV with TIM Vision). An arch lamp lights the dining table seating six. The decor is completed by desk, an elegant cupboard and double-door wardrobe. The customized kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine with dryer. The sleeping area overlooks an internal courtyard and is very quiet. It is furnished with a double bed and sliding-door wardrobe. In addition, the apartment also features a storage area where household cleaning supplies are kept. The bathroom includes a customized shower cabin. PETS: Pets are allowed. Extra charges apply.

The apt. is located in the historic centre, in a palazzo under the tutelage of the Superintendence of Fine Arts and which was once home to cardinals and bishops. The building is next to Palazzo Ghisilardi, home of the Medieval Civic Museum, and the Exhibition Centre of Palazzo Fava, with its Carracci Fava Literary-Café. In the immediate vicinity there are points of historical and artistic interest, such as the Academy of Fine Arts, the Opera Comunale, the Jewish ghetto, and the Garisenda and Asinelli towers, which, like Piazza Maggiore, are 2 min. walk away. Via Indipendenza, the most well known shopping street in Bologna, is about 30 m. away. The alleyways next to Piazza Maggiore, centred on Via Pescherie Vecchie, with all their food and wine shops, are also located at a very short distance. PARKING: The flat is inside the restricted traffic area (ZTL) and an access-ticket is required. You may park in the street, on the places indicated with blue stripes (upon payment). As an alternative, there is a private garage very close to the property, in Via San Giorgio. Here you can get the access to the ZTL. Another garage, just outside the ZTL, is in Piazza VIII Agosto.
