Experience a private, quiet corner of the Japanese countryside, convenient to Karuizawa, Sakudaira (shinkansen station). Hosted by a Mexican American couple, our home is open to all. Enjoy spectacular views of Asamayama (Mt. Asama) and breathe in the mountain air. We accommodate remote workers and offer discounts for extended stays.
We fixed up the old house across the road, and that is where we live. You will have plenty of privacy, but if you need anything we are close by.
Omogae is a small traditional agricultural village along the Yukawa River in Miyota. It is near the shinkansen in Saku and shopping and dining in Karuizawa. Our houses are on a hill overlooking the village with no close neighbors. On the other side of town there is a new playground set, and an even larger one is close by in Miyota. We welcome guests who recognize the special qualities of this place. Parking is located on the side of the road along Route 156. Please park there and walk as described in the photo of the check-in procedure. There is a slope and you will have to walk about 5 minutes.
