Jonni`s place ( 民泊）a small yet tasteful home at the base of Mt. Hie.Hieizan Sakamoto, perhaps you have not heard of it, but it is the birthplace of Tendai Bhuddism in Japan. Lots of local history without the mass tourism. 308 year old soba restaurant a mist on the list .

305 year old Soba restaurant 1353 year old shrines local festivals water falls quiet but interesting walks around the village, always something new to see. No need to pay the Kyoto Hotel as we are just outside the border Nice to hear the sound of cool running streams on your way back from a hectic day of sightseeing
