Once an old abandoned house for over 16 years, we found this house in the verge of collapsing and the home owner could not maintain the house due to financial burdens. So we went ahead to renovate the house for free and create income stream for the home owner. Made with Love and upcycled material and of course a bunch of new fittings such as AC, new toilet and a new bathroom.
Nestled on the central portion of Amami Oshima's northeast coast, Yamato-son offers a serene escape, embodying the heart of this World Natural Heritage site. Here, the legendary "Amami Blue" waters of the East China Sea kiss pristine white-sand beaches, such as the stunning Kuninao Kaigan Coast, a known nesting site for sea turtles. More than just breathtaking coastline, Yamato-son is a gateway to the island's unique and vibrant ecosystem. The village is surrounded by lush subtropical forests, home to rare endemic species like the iconic Amami rabbit.
