IMPORTANT NOTE: To preserve the original wooden architecture, the house breathes with the seasons. In winter, it can get cold. Within walking distance, you will find convenience stores (7-Eleven, etc.), drugstores, and supermarkets for all your daily needs. DINING: We encourage guests to explore the local culinary scene! There are numerous restaurants nearby, ranging from traditional Izakaya (Japanese pubs) to ramen shops and local diners. We are happy to provide recommendations for where to enjoy authentic local flavors for dinner and breakfast. ACCESS BY TRAIN: Nearest Station: Kakuda Station (Abukuma Express Line). From the Station: It is a 20-minute walk to the house. If you have heavy luggage, we recommend taking a taxi from the station (approx. 5 mins). From Sendai Station: Take the JR Tohoku Main Line to Tsukinoki Station, then transfer to the Abukuma Express Line to Kakuda Station. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Enjoy the scenic countryside views from the local train! PARKING: For guests arriving by car, we provide free private parking for up to 3 vehicles on the premises.
