The house was majestic. Upon entrance it was like stepping into an oasis from the narrow, but cozy streets of Lamu Town. The architecture was stunning and its aesthetics and functionality impressive. As the house is glass and roof free the natural...

We liked the traditional style and especially the small splash pool, to cool off in. The location at the heart of Lamu town was really special.

Welcome to Milele House, an enchanting three-story villa (475m²) designed in traditional Swahili style. At the heart of the home lies a picturesque Lamu courtyard, inviting serenity and relaxation. The villa offers views of the Indian Ocean from the rooftop, shaded by a traditional makuti roof, made from palm leaves to provide a cool, protective haven. Our guests will enjoy the comfort of three beautifully appointed bedrooms: two with double beds, and one featuring a bunk bed and a single bed, perfect for families or groups. Additionally, there’s a unique queen-size bed nestled in a special nook for a restful retreat. To enhance your stay, our attentive housekeeper has a designated room and bathroom on the ground floor, ensuring that every aspect of your visit is taken care of. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.
