Situated in Runda North - only 8 min from the UN - in a very quiet neighborhood: with little traffic and lots of birds! Joep lives here with 2 older teenagers - in a house with 5 bedrooms and a 1-bedroom apartment. The "Runda Hill Apartment - with Patio and terrace" AND 2x BnB rooms "Chez Joep - .." are offered for rent on this medium. We have a lush garden with mature (avocado and banana) trees, that you are most welcome to use. We have even build a special terrace for this on one side of the garden (see picture). The BnB rooms have a view of the garden; and their own en-suite bathroom. Both have a nice shower (good water pressure! Solar heated water.) The larger room also has a bath and a nice desk (with view of the garden) for two people to work on! Furthermore this property offers access to a terrace, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. We have house staff from Mon-Fri that can assist with washing your clothes (at a fee).

As a widower - since 14 years - I have been single parenting, but I have not done this alone (!) - I have build a village around us; the same staff that have been with us for the last 10-14 years! Your host, and our housekeepers enjoy having guests and will answer your questions with a smile. So if there is anything you like or need, do not hesitate to ask! We have two dogs but they are incredibly friendly! Expect them to greet you when you come home! But don't be scared, they only want to 'kiss you' / spread the love! NB. Your host runs a Relocations company that includes car rentals (!) and immigration services.

Extremely quiet neighborhood, you will hear the birds, especially in the morning. And everything can grow here! You will see and enjoy plants that in other parts of the world can only be in your (green) house! The neighborhood is super safe so you can just go for a walk. And with a bicycle you get into coffee fields within minutes! You are also free to take our dogs for a walk - they'll appreciate that ;) This property is only 8 min (3,5 km) away from the UN main complex, the US Embassy and (500m more to) the back entrance of Village Market. There are also several other shopping malls around this area. Karura Forest gate (B) is at 4,5 km (near ICRAF) and you are welcome to borrow a bike to go there ;) With easy access to the Nothern Bypass you can be at Two Rivers within 10 min; and Thigoni thee-fields in 30 min. With an Uber (or rental car) it is easy to get to Westlands for a multitude of restaurants (at 6km). The National Museum at 8km; Wilson Airport at 19 km and with the Xpress way one can get to JKIA International airport in 35 min. We have a reliable taxi driver that can provide you with airport shuttle to and from our place.
