The themes of this Eco cottage are recycling, ocean conservation and sustainability. PARROT FISH Not only clean corals from bad algae, they also eat corals. their pooh is coral sand. CORAL SAND Is the sand you find on tropical beaches. it contains silica and the traditional historical ingredient for making glass including glass bottles. GLASS BOTTLES Are being emptied by many tourists visiting the Kenyan coast. There is no recycling system for glass. REEFOLUTION Is an organization based at Fire Fly Eco Retreat that does coral restoration and reef restoration, recycling glass bottles onto reef structures on which corals are planted, creating and enforcing coral reefs in Wasini Channel for benefit of nature and the local communities which protect these new coral reefs CORAL REEFS When healthy and conserved well they are the shelter and breeding grounds of the ocean. No corals, no fish, no fish, corals. PARROT FISH Are sleeping in the shelters the REEFolution project and communities built together.
