We are Marvin & Mercy, a couple born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. We were introduced to each other through a friend and, from the day we met, we were struck with a streak of luck when it came to hosting people. Suddenly, we found ourselves welcoming family, friends, business associates, even strangers from all over the world! For us, it’s simple: you come over, we cook for you, share stories, and set up a warm, cozy place for you to sleep. We did this over and over in our home until one day, we came across a beautiful old hotel along a very important road in our city. This place had seen its glory days, and as we walked through each room, re-imagining the best moments it once held, it felt magical. We both instinctively knew we needed to restore it room by room, space by space. This is where we could host people, bring the warmth of home to travelers, and share laughter and joy with those in life’s transitions. This is where we could spread our love.
