A PLACE TO ESCAPE, UNWIND AND REFRESH. This is our rustic home that we built to enjoy our holidays. We relish it. Now we have opened it out to share this wonderful place and village with all the other believers and lovers of Mother Nature. One could gaze at the stars under a clear night sky or enjoy the mountains and the vast open green valleys from an occasionally misty mountain slope whilst enjoying a succulent Kandyan meal, cooked in a villager’s traditional kitchen, using fresh veggies from their gardens.
Hi, I am a mother of three kids, and a wife to a traveling husband. We are passionate travelers, who love to explore, enjoy the natural beauty, mountains and the village dwellings. Therefore, this house is built to suit our love for that natural appeal, and we hope that you will enjoy cherishing it too.
The property is in the midst of remote mountains, village dwellings and spice growing situated within a 35 minutes' winding drive from the ancient City of Kandy. You’ll love our place because of the views, serenity, elevation, the people, and the outdoor space. An ideal place for meditation, couples, adventurers, families. Also, a place to taste a Sri Lankan meal, cooked in neighbouring houses, using spices grown in their own gardens and traditional utensils. One could also hike to a secluded lake (3km) for a dip in icy cold waters at an elevation of 3000ft or drive to the first tea plantation in Sri Lanka (the Loolecondera tea estate) or to Kandy (15km) or to the constantly misty farming village of Mandaramnuwara (50km) and to the highest city in Sri Lanka called Nuwara Eliya on a beautiful ancient Cart road via Deltota....Or, one could also simply…do nothing!
