Nilowin Glenanore is a boutique guesthouse in a carefully designed modern building in the tea estates. The deluxe rooms have ensuite bathrooms and balconies with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The new panorama rooms are being developed for the current season and will provide a similar level of comfort and with even finer views. There are some budget rooms for guests looking for simpler lodging. The guesthouse serves delicious Sri Lankan food and holds popular cooking classes at its newly opened Nilowin Spice Kitchen
Nilowin Glenanore guesthouse is a family-run business, headed by two energetic and charismatic brothers: Saman and Shan. They speak excellent English and have high professional standards. They are available to organise and lead excursions for guests. Their mother runs cookery classes in the recently opened Nilowin Spice Kitchen in the guesthouse grounds. You will receive a warm welcome and quickly feel one of the family.
Haputale is situated in Sri Lanka’s famous and beautiful hill country, on the scenic Colombo to Badulla railway line. The guesthouse is peacefully located about 3km outside the town, on the road to the historic Adisham bungalow and along the route of the new Pekoe hiking trail. Tea estate and jungle walks with superb views can be made from the guesthouse. Day trips by taxi or tuk-tuk can easily be arranged to Lipton’s Seat, Horton Plains and several of the country’s highest waterfalls.
