The beach loft is built inside the historical Dutch Fort in Matara, on the beach front, to a contenporary style , open plan with floor to celing glass sliding doors. Open plan, 80 sq/m bedroom can host a couple with Queen size bed or could be shared with friends or family up to 5 guests. Roof top offer a 360 view of the ocean to surrounding fort's red tiled roofs and beyond. One of the last beach fronts of the Western Coast unspoilt by commercialisation, here lives a community of people surrounded by the remanents of the historic Dutch fort built by the colonial administration of 17th century. living here can be compared to living inside a post card sent from a tropical paradise

Very much the local vibe, away from the tourist ghettos few kms North or South. Walking distance to supermarkets, the local market, city center, no need to take taxis. Few nice restaurant nearby, good surf spot 7-10 minutes from the house . 2h 20 mins drive from the airport to Matara. 1h20 from Makumbura highway bus stop. AC busses available every 0:30 mins from Makumbura highway bus stop , price is 1300 rupees . you also can do day excursions to Yala National park 2 hrs drive to the park entrance. Galle Fort 30 Kms, Mirissa , Weligama 15 minutes ride.
