Darhani is an elegant riad in the heart of the Marrakech Medina. It has a central courtyard and pool, and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, mixing the traditional with the modern to create a chic and original style. Darhani, which translates as "house of tranquillity", is located in a sophisticated area of the medina near the antique and jewellery shops of Rue de Bacha. The Darhani riad is a few minutes walk from the souks, the Ben Medersa and Musee de Marrakech and an 8-10 minute walk from the magic of the legendary Jemaa el Fna square - a haphazard marketplace by day, but at dusk, transformed into a nocturnal carnival of performers with the world's most amazing outside dining area. Darhani is exceptional in that, although it has only four bedrooms, it has three sitting rooms and an amazing tented terrace, as well as a dining room At the Darhani we offer a vegetarian menu for both lunch and dinner service, and have an excellent cook (Khadija). Breakfast is included, and varies each day. We have an English speaking manager who can organise tour guides, excursions and book restaurants for you.

Jema el Fna (main square) A fantastic array of food stalls starting with basic brochettes and soup to all the offal you can eat. Great atmosphere and well worth night out. Also surrounding the square several restaurants which are the Marrakechie, Cherguonie, Argana all good for basic Moroccan cuisine and some fabulous cafes to sit and have tea on the terrace as you watch the world go by. Café Arabe 48 Rue El Mouassine Good for a drink on the terrace or a light lunch. We have had bad experiences here, so would not eat here by choice, but many of our clients have said it is excellent. Nikki Beach Out in the palmeraie some 5 km from the city centre Nikki Beach presents itself as the hip place to be. With resident DJ, 3 pools, an Oriental twist to the international cuisine and its chic designer look. This is Dubai comes to Marrakech. Great for birthday parties and dancing into the early hours. The Kosy Bar 47 Place Der Ferblantiers Near the Place des Ferblontier and the mellah, an intimate restaurant and bar serving an A La Carte menu, even just for a quiet drink in the evenings well worth the visit.
