Situated in the narrow alleys of the old town of Victoria in Gozo is this 500+ year old house with private sun terrace having views of the Cittadella. All the amenities of the town are close by or only a short walk away. The alleys are mostly traffic free and are therefore quiet and peaceful. The main bus terminus for the island is a 10 minute walk away. Victoria is in the centre of the island so it is easy to explore everywhere from here. The narrow alleyways which surround St George's Basilica form the oldest town on the island of Gozo. Originally laid out in the time of Ottoman rule, the streetplan is similar to that of the medinas of Morocco and North Africa. Many of the houses, including this one, are between 4-500 years old. This farmhouse would originally have been on the edge of the village, allowing the farmer access to the open fields at the top of the Lunzjata Valley. Many of the inhabitants of the area have lived in these streets for all of their lives. There are a number of bus stops only a few minutes walk away from the house or the main bus terminus for the island is around 10 minutes walk away. From there you can get buses all over the island. There is also a taxi rank a few minutes walk or you can use taxi apps such as Bolt, eCabs or Uber. There are a number of on-street electric mopeds which can be rented via Bolt or Whizascoot.
