La Preneuse Beach
The beach is covered with snow-white fine sand, the slope is smooth, and the water is shallow. The ocean is calm, the water has a turquoise hue. The La Preneuse Beach is spacious and wide, so there is enough space for all vacationers. The scenery on the beach is breath-taking: from the coast you can overlook the high Mount Le Morne above the turquoise lagoon.
The beach is located on the west coast of Mauritius. There are cafes, stores and souvenir shops with various goods near the coast. The local attraction is the Martello Tower, built by the British in the 1830s, who protected the territory from the French fleet. Now it is a museum where information about the history of the area and the first planters is stored. The famous freshwater Black River flows on the beach. Yachts and boats drift on the open sea, you can take one to go on a sea trip.
