he cottage was built in 2016 and we have opened in January 2017. In 2017 we built an additional patio with patio heater, so it is wonderful in the winter just to sit outside. We also have rental bikes with 7 gears for rent and 2 electric bikes . Always good to see some more in a short period.
We both work with mentally handicapped people and Ellen also has worked in tourism. This combination and the big yard behind our house gave us this idea of let people enjoy of our beautiful location. We have added the care factor by also making it accessible to people with a wheelchair.
We live 15 walking minutes from the heart of Alkmaar. On a monumental road, in a green area, with a windmill on the corner of the road. The cottage is located at the end of our garden behind our house with its own private terrace. There is sun all day long. Beach (Egmond aan Zee and Bergen aan Zee) is 20 minutes away by car. 30min/45min by train to Amsterdam or Haarlem.
